New space opening early in March

As you no doubt know, we have been at full capacity at Cluster for over a year, having established our first co-working studio in early 2014. We finally solved this problem in December and we are now happy to announce that the new location for Cluster is the top floor of Hallidays Mill in the beautiful Chalford valley.

You are probably familiar with The Lavender Bakehouse in Chalford, which is across the road from our new studio. The Mill is easy to access from the London Road without having to enter Chalford, and is just a short cycle or drive from Stroud, Nailsworth and Cirencester.

This new location gives us what we always wanted for Cluster; A large, bright open-plan space full of character with high ceilings and exposed beams, and lots of large windows with views. It also gives us more options for people who want to co-work without taking a desk full time. If you fall into that category, stay tuned as we'll give more details about how that will work in a future post, but suffice to say it will be a true co-working experience where we are all in the same room and there'll be enough space for more of our existing drop-in customers to visit at once.

Hallidays Mill, parts of which date back to the 1820s was formerly a factory making fashionable fibreglass trays, and before that a saw mill. It has been recently renovated and is part of the growing creative arts community at Chalford. Victoria Works studios are opposite, and below our floor is a successful sculpture studio, a new art gallery as well as an assortment of artist studios.

We're currently getting it all set up and we'll be moving our existing full time desk residents to the new location in early March. We'll have all the things you've come to expect from Cluster; great locally-roasted coffee, super fast fibre broadband, inspiring company and surroundings. We'll be adding some great new features as well.

We can't wait for you to see it. We'll be posting updates as we kit the place out, and we'll be opening the doors to visitors as soon as we can. If you’re already interested get in  touch.

Finally, we’d like to take this opportunity to welcome Nick Burne who is already confirmed to be joining the existing gang on one of the new desks, where he will be doing his digital marketing consulting — taking us up to seven permanent residents!
